Meet Julie
From Bedside to Boarding Pass.
Hi, I'm Julie, Founder and Lead Travel Designer at Journey by Julie.
My roots run deep in the Midwest, and so does my belief that a good life includes a lot of really good travel. My path here wasn’t a nonstop flight. For years, I worked as a nurse practitioner in oncology, a career I loved deeply and one that taught me more about resilience and living life to the fullest every day. After the pandemic, I knew I needed a change, more time with my family, and a life built around connection rather than constant exhaustion. That's when Journey by Julie was born.
My love of travel actually started somewhere unexpected: private aviation. My husband is a pilot, and together we own multiple private aviation businesses. That hands-on experience with the operational side of aviation gives me a perspective most travel advisors simply don't have. I’m also a proud boy mom who is always up for an adventure.
I started Journey by Julie because I believe elevated travel doesn't have to feel stuffy or out of reach. Approachable luxury is at the heart of everything I do: thoughtfully designed itineraries, hand-picked hotels and experiences, and support that goes far beyond the typical. I'm with you from the first conversation to the moment you're back home unpacking.
